We have walked the path that we are asking you to walk. And we will walk it again with you.
Brandon Hardy, LCSW
Executive Director, Co-Founder
Brandon is a hardworking and compassionate individual. He never intended on ending up in ministry. His plan was to become an Aerospace Engineer and spent a career in the military. However, God placed him where He wanted him.
Throughout Brandon’s life and professional career, God has been preparing him and honing his skills for foster care. After leaving active duty, he attended Atlanta Christian College, now Point University, and earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. He spent 3 years working with Pathways Transition Programs as a behavior specialist working with children and families by developing and implementing behavior modification plans to help children thrive in their environments.
After a while, Brandon felt God prompting him to return to school, where he then attended the University of Georgia and earned a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. Since graduating, he has spent 2.5 years working as a psychiatric clinician at Grady Memorial Hospital’s Crisis Stabilization Unit and 1.5 years as a school social worker. He then specialized in helping people overcome their traumatic experiences and learn to manage their depression and anxiety in a healthy manner.
Brandon is passionate about helping others live out their true potential. That is why he and his wife, Lesli, came on board to help the Rogers family form Kaleo Family Services. Throughout the past 4 years of fostering, they have come to the realization of the need for more supportive foster agencies. They desire to help families develop the skills needed to help children succeed and have a drive to provide the best services available to support them in doing so.
Brandon and Lesli are excited about this journey with Kaleo. They have three beautiful biological daughters and hope to expand their family through adoption in the near future.
Partnership Coordinator, Co-Founder
Jimmy is a native of Lilburn, Georgia, and has spent his working career in the private sector. After spending over 20 years in the printing industry, including 7 years of self-employment, he moved into manufacturing for almost 10 years. After 3 years of praying and searching how to serve the foster children of Georgia with no luck and no required degree, the Rogers and Hardy families were brought together to start Kaleo Family Services.
Children in foster care were not on Jimmy’s radar for most of his life. Like many, he knew they were there, but assumed they were being cared for and receiving all they needed. That all changed in the Summer of 2012 when Jimmy and his wife, Beth, decided to become foster parents. It was at this point that they realized the Child Welfare System was bursting at the seams and needed a lot of help. As Kaleo’s Partnership Coordinator, it is Jimmy’s passion to get this need in front of others as well.
Jimmy and Beth are the parents of five, two biological adult children and three younger children adopted from foster care. In addition to their adoptions, they fostered seven more. While their home is closed for fostering now, the future may see it open once again. They are members of Journey Church Oxford where Jimmy serves in the role of Elder.
